Laura J. (Keeven) Sheets, 60, of Imperial died Dec. 5, 2025. Mrs. Sheets was known as a strong-willed, honest woman who would often share what was on her mind. She loved spending time at her lake property, whether relaxing on the boat or enjoying days spent camping. In her younger years, she enjoyed staying active, playing volleyball and softball. Born Aug. 20, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Jean “Mick” Keeven.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years: Charles X. Sheets; two children: Devon (Patrick Barry) Sheets and Jared (Em) Sheets; a grandchild: Grayson Barry; four siblings: Janet (Jerry) Schuler, Dana (Bill) Steiner, Bobby (Gina) Keeven and Diann (Ron) Smith; her mother-in-law: Agnes Sheets; two siblings-in-law: Jim (Julia) Sheets and Terri Sheets; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law: Fred Sheets.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Fey Funeral Home, 4100 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, in Imperial. Interment will follow in Shepherd Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus-Glennonville or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Fey Funeral Home.
