Larry Lowell Byrd, 85, of Festus died June 18, 2025, at his home. Mr. Byrd served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from working in construction with the U.S. General Services Administration. Born Oct. 7, 1939, he was the son of the late Clyde and Maude Byrd.
He is survived by his wife: Sue Byrd of Festus; a brother: Don (Dessie) Byrd of Fordland; a daughter: Dee (Paul) Molnar of Kansas City; a son: Christopher Byrd; four stepchildren: Ellen Frederking of Columbia, Ill., Scott (Tyler) Fever of Norfolk, Va., Leslie Fever of Webster Groves and Brian (Jennifer) Fever of St. Peters; four grandsons: Mario Columbo, Leo Columbo, Kyle Russell and Cortney Frederking; a great-grandson: Magnus Russell; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a niece: Jamie Byrd.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 105 Bailey Road, in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation.
