Larry D. Davis, 73, of De Soto died Jan. 8, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Davis worked as a welder for Union Pacific Railroad. Born June 7, 1951, in Kennett, he was the son of the late Annie Victoria (Neil) and James Arlington “Jimmy” Davis.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann (Jackson) Davis of De Soto; three children: Kimberly (Mark) Richardson of Festus, Larry Joshua Davis of St. Louis and Tracy Davis of St. Louis; a sibling: Shirley (the late Harold) Fitch of Shreveport, La.; and two grandchildren: Maxwell “Max” and Kylie Richardson.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Thomas, James, Jerry and Ernest Davis.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Don Bahr. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, 63110. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
