Kimberly Heck Sewell, 66, of Festus died April 13, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Sewell had various jobs but was devoted to family and friends; she loved spending time with them. She was also supportive and passionate about special education. Born March 28, 1958, in Mexico, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Kathryn Georgene (Heck) and Herschel Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Patrick Lane Sewell.
She is survived by three sons: Chadwick Taylor Sewell of Festus, Matthew Taylor Schutte of Festus and Robert Lane (Stephanie) Sewell II of Katy, Texas; two grandchildren: Alannah and Taylor Patrick Sewell; three sisters: Karen (Robert) Hesselberg of Ann Arbor, Mich., Mary (Bob) Denham of Mexico, and Sara (the late Jess) Flowers of West Plains; and three brothers: Rusty (Leigh) Taylor of Columbia, John (Sue) Taylor of Mexico and Mitchell (Debbie) Taylor of Sturgeon.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Kaye Sigmund (Jerry survives of Columbia) and Janet Taylor; and two brothers: George (Judy survives of Martinsburg) Taylor and Ralph Taylor.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from noon until a memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Terry Crank of Herculaneum. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
