Kenneth Harle Foerstel Jr., 82, of Bloomsdale died Jan. 10, 2025. Mr. Foerstel retired from Anheuser Busch. He enjoyed drinking beer, attending car shows, fishing and hunting. Born May 23, 1942, in Jefferson City, he was the son of the late Anna (Barson) and Kenneth Harle Foerstel Sr.
He is survived by his wife: Sherry (Prater) Foerstel; five children: Tammy (Jeff) Benson of Potosi, Kenneth Foerstel III of St. Thomas Virgin Islands, Edward (Amoi) Foerstel of St. Thomas Virgin Islands, Jody Foerstel of Olympia, Wash., and Joel Clampitt of Leavenworth, Kan.; seven grandchildren: Samantha (Kyle) Reed, Colby (Brittany) Benson, Aaleeya Benson, Nicholas (Megan) Foerstel, Mikayla (Michael) McElroy, Edward Foerstel V and Tia Foerstel; nine great-grandchildren: Carter Reed, Daveney Reed, Weston McElroy, Brooklyn Mendenhall, Jadelyn Wetter, Brody Glass, Cooper Benson, Cash Benson and Bennett Benson; a nephew: Eric Foerstel; and a great-nephew: Era Foerstel.
He was preceded in death by his former wife: LeeVon Foerstel; and a brother: Edward Foerstel.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in Valle Springs Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Humane Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
