
Kenneth G. Hill, 75, of Barnhart died Sept. 4, 2024, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Hill graduated from Festus High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a flooring installer and retired from the Jefferson County Public Works. He was an active member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and woodworking. He also enjoyed all types of racing and motorsports. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved traveling and sightseeing with family. Born Nov. 22, 1948, in Festus, he was the youngest son of the late Milton and Freda Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Karen L. Hill; three children: Debra Hill Marsh, Ginger Hill and Carrie (Vernon) Hill-Reed; six grandchildren: Arielle Edwards, Arielyn Ferrell, Landon Edwards, Zane Edwards, Zoe Hill and Owen Gettings; two great-grandchildren: Kylie Campbell and Woodrow Edwards; two sisters: Doris Brooks and Ruth (Donald) Barnett; a brother: Donald (Vickye) Hill; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Dorena Chambers; a grandchild: Brian Tyler Chambers; three brothers: James Hill, Robert Hill and Glen Hill; four sisters: Ethel Johnson, Fay Vaccaro, Mildred Hill and June Harding and a son-in-law: William Tullus Chambers.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Kingdom Hall, 5461 Hwy. 61, in Imperial.
