Kenneth Eugene Day Jr., 66, of Arnold died May 22, 2025. As a business owner of Day’s Grass Service, Mr. Day was known for his hard work and devotion to the job. He helped his son establish Day’s Parts Yard, where he shared his expertise in used auto parts. He was also known for his craftsmanship and warm-hearted personality. A car enthusiast, he would often be working on his cars and the other toys he owned. He enjoyed cruising around town in his '68 Camaro, watching the St. Louis Blues and, most of all, spending time with his friends and family, sharing laughter and memories. He will be remembered for his famous saying, “You got that $5 you owe me.” Born May 15, 1959, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Janet (Stephenson) Day.

He is survived by his wife: Cindy (Rellergert) Day; two children: Kenneth (Erin) Day III and Nikole (Mark) Day; two grandchildren: Kohen and Myles Day and one more on the way; three siblings: Kelie, Kurt and Kraig; siblings-in-law: Dan and Patricia Rellergert and Paul and Laurie Rellergert; and many other family members, friends and coworkers.  

He was preceded in death by parents-in-law: Betty and Ed Rellergert; and siblings-in-law: Tom and Maryelise Rellergert and Vickie and Charles Tallman.

A visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until services at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home South County Chapel, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or St. Louis Youth Hockey Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home.
