Kenneth Edward Richardson, 82, of Festus died May 26, 2026, at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre. Mr. Richardson was a retired autoworker from the Chrysler Fenton plant and a farmer in the French Village area. He loved his time on the farm tending the cattle and vegetable garden. He was an avid photographer and loved fishing, woodworking and listening to Jack Buck announce the Cardinal baseball games. He and his father would spend hours playing horseshoes and the card game Pitch and loved teaching those traditions to the next generation. Born April 21, 1944, in Festus, he was the son of the late Florence Elizabeth (Koester) and Henry Hugh Richardson.
He is survived by a brother: Homer (Gloria) Richardson of Loveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Wyman Dale (the late Marilyn) Richardson.
A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, in Hall Cemetery near French Village, officiated by Pastor Mike Tull. Memorials may be made to the Hall Cemetery perpetual care fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
