Kenneth Earl McCoin, 45, of De Soto died Jan. 30, 2026, in St. Louis. Mr. McCoin was the owner and operator of McCoin Drywall, where he took pride in his work. He was known as a family man who loved cooking and grilling for those he cared about. He also enjoyed riding four-wheelers, fishing, traveling to the ocean and Kentucky Lake, and following sports, especially basketball and football. Born June 2, 1980, in Danville, Ill., he was the son of the late Michael McCoin and Tammy (Smith) McCoin.
He is survived by his partner of more than 21 years: Amber McCoin of Festus; two sons: Kenneth “Aaron” McCoin of Paducah, Ky., and Lynnden McCoin of Festus; two daughters: Jazmine “Alexis” McCoin and Kenna McCoin, both of Sedalia; a stepson: Michael (Kristen) Gaunt of St. Louis; a stepdaughter: Keanna (Michael Meyer) Van Dyke of Festus; three brothers: Tim (Casey) McCoin of Versailles, Michael McCoin Jr. of Marion, Ill., and Chris (Tierra) McCoin of Versailles; a sister: Michelle McCoin of Evansville, Ind.; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. until a service at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
