Huskey, Kenneth

Kenneth “Bob” Huskey, 91, of De Soto, formerly of Hillsboro, died Feb. 5, 2025. Mr. Huskey was a dairy farmer and drove a school bus for the Hillsboro R-3 Public School District for 20 years. He was also a deacon at First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Born Aug. 3, 1933, in Hillsboro, he was the son of the late Marie (Baker) and Clayton Huskey.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years: Shirley (Bass) Huskey of De Soto; four children: Susan “Susie” Turner of De Soto, Vicki Edmundson of Nixa, Donald (Karen) Huskey of Hillsboro and Kevin (Vickie Lynn) Huskey of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren: Deanna (Brent) Diebold, Charissa (Matt) Cain, Ben (Kimberly) Bouska, Lindsay (Kendal) Dingus, Jarrod (Rebecca) Huskey, Lauren (Chris) Reynolds and Abbie (Mark) Zimmerman; eight great-grandchildren: Taylor, Jacob, Kaitlynn, Delany, Curtis, Thatcher, Gideon and Leddy; and six great great-grandchildren: Blayne, Hazel, Dakota, Zaiden, Jett, and Saphire.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Lester (Murilla “Midge”) Huskey; and a son-in-law: Jimmie Turner.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Chuck Hoskins. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
