Kaylene Sue “Kay” Schutte, 68, of De Soto died Nov. 25, 2024. Mrs. Schutte worked at Fo-Jo and Redfield Collision. Born Dec. 18, 1955, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of Al Bounie Wilkinson of De Soto and the late Gloria Jean (Courtois) Wilkinson.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband: Joseph Edward “Ed” Schutte of De Soto; three children: Ginger (Dustin) Morter of De Soto, Dustin (Rachel) Schutte of De Soto and Andy (Shawna) Schutte of De Soto; a brother: Kerry Wilkinson of Bonnet Terre; seven grandchildren: Kashdon, Abby, Brexson, Kelsey, Emily, Bethany and Trenton; and four grand dogs: Douglas, Katie, Marty and Penny.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild: Kyler.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a memorial service at noon, Saturday, Nov. 30, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N Main, in De Soto, officiated by Denny Wilkinson. Inurnment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Columbarium in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 204, Norwood, N.J., 00648. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
