Kathy Sue Preslar, 70, of Barnhart died June 6, 2024, at her home. Mrs. Preslar worked as an LPN. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Born Aug. 15, 1953, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Violet (Turner) and Harold Coleman.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Perry Preslar.
She is survived by a son: Eric (Kelly) Williams of Festus; three grandchildren: Brandon David (Keara Pieper) Williams, Kaylee Juliette Williams and Elijah Michael Williams; four sisters: Dana Jasper of Valles Mines, Francis (Gary) Heaviland of De Soto, Janet (Douglas) Bennett of Festus and Lisa (James) Metcalf of Lesterville; a brother: James Steven Cochran of Park Hills; and 4 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara “Jo” Lowery and Leanna Comparato.
A graveside service is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, 2900 Sheridan Road, in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
