Kathleen Ann Haverstick, 73, of De Soto died Jan. 16, 2026, in De Soto. Mrs. Haverstick worked as a magazine editor for No Coast Bikers magazine. She had a love for animals and dedicated much of her life to their care, protection and well-being. She volunteered with Canines in Crisis, the Jefferson County Rescue Mission and Stray Rescue. She will be remembered for her compassion. She was born Aug. 26, 1952, in St. Louis.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years: Gerald “Squatty” Haverstick of De Soto; two dogs: Molly and Chloe; and two cats: Guy and Smoky.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main, in De Soto. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Canines in Crisis, 13976 Klondike Road, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
