Karen Rae Wilson, 70, of St. Francois County died May 2, 2024, at her home. Ms. Wilson grew up in the Hillsboro area. For many years she worked at SEMO Mental Health as a psychiatric aide. In her free time, she loved to cook. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and AmVets. Born June 8, 1953, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Mary Gayle (Baker) Berry Frost of De Soto and the late Carvel Ray Berry. She was the stepdaughter of the late Harold Frost.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons: Thomas (Jodie) Nutter and Sean (the late Shannon) Nutter; five grandchildren: Harley McLain, Dayton Shipp, Adrian Kearbey, Hailey Kearbey and Jasmine Nutter; four sisters: Sharon Snyder of St. Charles, Terri Nosser of Warrenton, Rebecca (James) Manning of Festus and Kimberly Berry of De Soto; a brother: Gregory (Renee) Berry of Ellsinore; and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
