Karen (Armstrong) Vuylsteke, 66, of Imperial died Jan. 5, 2024, in Fenton. Mrs. Vuylsteke, working alongside her husband, was partner and office manager for Gold Star Roofing and Exteriors since 1984. She enjoyed camping, boating and spending time with family. Born July 1, 1957, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Maxine (Hopkins) and Charles “Rex” Armstrong.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years: Vincent G. “Vince” Vuylsteke; six children: Letha Axton, Tony (Christy) Axton, Vincent (Natalia) Vuylsteke Jr., Jennifer (Jeremy) Webb, Tonya (Roger) Huskey and Jason (Jessica) Vuylsteke; 15 grandchildren: Michael (Adrienne), Devin, Connor, Bionca (Andrew), Vincent III, Johnathan, Jessica, Jeremy, Jeanine, Joseph, Rachael (Josh), Dackota (Chrizma), Morgan, Caleb (Alesha) and Christopher (Lexi); a sister: Brenda (John) Montoya; a brother: Doug (Lois) Armstrong; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild.
Memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. until a memorial service at noon Thursday, Jan. 18, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Graveside service will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to CASA of Jefferson County. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
