Karel “Annette” Pitts, 71, of Herculaneum, formerly of Blue Springs, died Feb. 15, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Pitts was a jewelry consultant, a Real Estate agent and a member of the Tri-City Baptist Church in Blue Springs. She enjoyed making memories with her family on vacations to Branson and Florida. She is remembered for her strong faith, zest for life, compassion and adoration for her family. Born June 18, 1953, in Kansas City, she was the daughter of the late RoseAnn (Mikesell) and William Kirksey.
She is survived by her husband: Darrel Pitts; a daughter: Sheli (Scott) Zeller of Franklin, Ohio; a son: Scott Pitts of Crystal City; and eight grandchildren: Andrew and Ashlee Zeller and Earnest, Isaiah, Iris, Augustine, Magnolia and Daisy Pitts.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until services at noon Friday, Feb. 21, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A graveside service will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City, officiated by Pastor Mark McMullin and retired Chaplain Capt. Scott M. Pitts. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
