Parmeley, Judy

Judy Maie Parmeley, 78, of Cedar Hill died June 3, 2024, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mrs. Parmeley was of Baptist faith. She was employed at Rite Point Pen Co. in Fenton as a manager until retiring after more than 25 years of service. She traveled all over following her son, Brent, and his dreams of racing BMX bikes. In her spare time, she enjoyed lying by the pool and, when able, she enjoyed sprint car races. One of her favorite pastimes was watching westerns with her furry companion, Joey. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Hannah. Born Sept. 29, 1945, in Flat River, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Lorene (Politte) Hamor. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Lindell Parmeley.

She is survived by her son: Brent (Laura) Parmeley; a granddaughter: Hannah Parmeley; a sister: Alice (John) Bader; three sisters-in-law: Norma Ruthe (Ron) Fields, Mickey (Dan) Chorny and Joanne Henderson; several nieces and nephews; a pet: Joey; and special friends: Vernell Windes and Patti Sciaroni.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers: Homer Henderson, Don (Shirley) Henderson and Jimmy (Dorothy) Henderson; two sisters: Bonnie (Rick) Cowley and Joyce (Laurance) Smith; and a sister-in-law: Phyllis (Gary) Mason.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home, 1116 N. Desloge Drive, in Desloge. The visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until a service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, 2320 Pine St., 63103. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home.
