Judith Ann "Judy" (Gowen) Johnston, 67, of De Soto died May 18, 2024. Mrs. Johnston worked as a general contractor alongside her late husband for many years. She was a member of Agape Faith Church. Remembered for her big heart, she was known for helping anyone in need. She loved listening to music and dancing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Born Jan. 7, 1957, in Valles Mines, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Glenn and Shirley (Moses) Gowen.
she was preceded in death by her husband: John Johnston.
She is survived by a son: Matthew (Amanda) Johnston; two grandchildren: Chloe and David Pinkerton; a great-grandson: Alex Pinkerton-Meinhardt; two siblings: Brenda Boyer and Carol (Mel) Spreckelmeyer; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Robert "Nick" Pinkerton; a brother: Terry Gowen; and a brother-in-law: David Boyer.
A memorial visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. until a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at Agape Faith Church, 3255 Hwy. V, in De Soto, officiated by Pastors Mel and Carol Spreckelmeyer. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
