Joyce M. Jarvis, 80, of Festus died April 24, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Jarvis was the CEO of Badger Products. Throughout her career, she also worked at Brown Shoe Co., where she met her husband, and later retired from administration for USDA, where she received several certificates of recognition. After retirement, she enjoyed hosting events with her husband, lying poolside during the summer and spending weekends with her grandchildren, cheering them on at their sporting events and during their extracurricular activities. She is remembered as a welcoming presence and for her strong faith, her storytelling and her gift for making others smile and laugh. Born Oct. 13, 1944, in Crossville, she was the daughter of the late Majorie and Earl Barton.
She is survived by her husband: Kenith W. Jarvis Sr., whom she married June 9, 1984; two sisters: Charlene and Carolyn; four stepchildren: Lynette Winchester, Kenith Jr., David and Scott; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother: James; and a granddaughter: Christina.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until services at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Chapel Hill Mortuary-Robert D. Brown Chapel, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary-Robert D. Brown Chapel.
