Joyce Helen (Sexton) Litzsinger, 73, of Festus died Feb. 2, 2024.Mrs. Litzsinger worked for many years at the Rescue Mission in Pevely and later as a home health care aide for Disability Resource Association. She was a member of the Community Church of Jefferson County in Pevely. Born July 22, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Madge E. and John H. Sexton.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Litzsinger.
She is survived by a daughter: Heather (Jerry) Kemmling of Festus; a sister: Ava (Ed) Woelm of Festus; two brothers: Keith (the late JoAnn) Sexton of Imperial and Paul (Linda) Sexton of Arnold; four grandchildren: Ariel (Jordan) Simms, Miranda (Frank) Abate, Sebastian Kemmling and Keith Coplin; four great-grandchildren: Gideon and Vivian Simms, Audrey McGlynn and Lorenzo Abate; as well as many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two daughters: Renee Casey and Laura Casey (Coplin).
A graveside service is scheduled for noon Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Herculaneum Cemetery, 821 Scenic Drive, officiated by Mary Williams. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
