Queen, Joyce

Joyce D. Queen, 82, of Marco Island, Fla., died March 16, 2025, at Cedarhurst of Arnold. Mrs. Queen was a member of the Island Country Club in Marco Island, Fla., and a member of the St. Louis Women’s Golf Association. Born Dec. 17, 1942, in Kimmswick, she was the daughter of Joseph “Buck” and Opal (Oglesby) Boyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Daniel Jack Queen.

She is survived by two daughters: Andrea Queen of Ballwin and Natalie Queen of Hillsboro; five grandchildren: Hannah Heffron, Maitland Heffron, Zachary Angle, Nathaniel (Ashlie Winkler) Kimes and Annaleigh Kimes; three great-grandchildren: Adelynn Coleman, Houston Kimes and Paislee Kimes; and five siblings: Allen Boyer of Ballwin, Charlie (Lee Anna Moutray) Boyer of De Soto, Richard “Rick” (Lisa) Boyer of De Soto, Michael “Mick” (Sandy) Boyer of De Soto and Carol Pikula of Farmington.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Olive Boyer and Barb (Gerry) Gannon.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Deacon Ed Boyer. Entombment will be in the Calvary Mausoleum in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Neurofibromatosis Center at Washington University or to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
