Joseph L. "Joe" Walch, 60, of Arnold died Aug. 2, 2024. Mr. Walch was an HVAC technician with Bermuda Heating & Cooling for 39 years. Raised in Ferguson, he graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and Ranken Technical College. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 148 and the Immaculate Conception Church in Arnold. He spent many days hunting at the Erflings and fishing with his wife, where he earned the nickname “Dippnet”, and riding motorcycles with his friends. Born Nov. 13, 1963, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Dorothy (Bode) and Edward Walch Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years: Lana S. (Damron) Walch; twin daughters: Megan Walch of Arnold and Hannah Walch of Arnold; five siblings: Karen (the late Tim) Recker of Webster Groves, Katherine (George) Lamsargis of Springfield, Ill., Jane (Randy) Sites of Wildwood, Edward (Mary) Walch of Foristell and Rosie (Chris) Burkett of Glencoe; a sister-in-law: Sue (Terry) Burris of Pevely; and numerous family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Services at the funeral home are scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Church Road, in Arnold. Burial will be in St. Trinity Cemetery in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
