DeClue, Jonell

Jonell Leanne "Jonie" (Litton) DeClue, 81, of De Soto died Sept. 18, 2025, in De Soto. Mrs. DeClue spent many years working as a bank teller at State Bank of De Soto, where she was known for her warm smile and kind heart. She was a devoted member of her community, active in both the Columbia Anns and the Daughters of Isabella. She was a dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fan who enjoyed watching old Western movies, crocheting, solving crossword puzzles, playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and friends. Born Aug. 11, 1944, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Gladys M. (Ruff) and Howard C. Litton.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Jerome DeClue.

She is survived by two sons: Tim (Cindy) Hill of De Soto and Terry (Nicole) Hill of De Soto; two daughters: Anita DeClue-Brinkley of De Soto and Kelley Douglas of Hillsboro; two brothers: James (Celeste) Litton of St. Louis and John (Barb) Litton of Festus; 11 grandchildren: Anisha (Bryan) Pinson of Park Hills, Andrew (Venita) Krodinger of Herculaneum, Aaron Hill of Imperial, Kelton Douglas of Hillsboro, Breanna (Travis Naeger) Brinkley of Farmington, Emily DeClue of Festus, Miranda DeClue of Festus, Malia Hill of De Soto, Mason Hill of De Soto, Dylan (Magan) King of Arnold and Taylor King of Barnhart; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

She also was preceded in death by a son: Charles "Jeff" DeClue; a grandson: Jacob Douglas; and a son-in-law: Joseph Douglas.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 S. Third St., in De Soto, 63020, officiated by Father Rodger Fleming. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Adopt-an-Angel at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
