John Seckman, 89, of Hillsboro died Nov. 2, 2025, in Affton. Born July 25, 1936, in Baxter Springs, Kan., Mr. Seckman was the son of the late Logan and Mildred (Horton) Seckman.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Patrica (Graham) Seckman.
He is survived by a daughter: Rose Seckman; a sister: Mary Pierce; and numerous other family members and friends.
He also was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. A committal Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in Forest Park Cemetery in Joplin. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary, Robert Brown Chapel.
