
John Martin Siracusa, 67, of Festus died Sept. 19, 2025, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Siracusa was a 1976 Crystal City High School graduate. He spent 45 years as a financial advisor for Equitable Advisors in St. Louis and was a 41-year member and past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 1721. He was an avid outdoorsman, a member of the Sporting Gentlemen and a lifelong lover of music. Born Sept. 13, 1958, in Festus, he was the son of the late Katherine (Stevens) and Leo Siracusa.
He is survived by his wife: Denise (Grimes) Siracusa; a son: John Robert “JR” (Megan) Siracusa of Barnhart; two daughters: Samantha (Nathan) Reese of Festus and Linley (Brendan) Barash of Webster Groves; two stepdaughters: Chelsea (David) Cope of Imperial and Jessica (Michael) Scott of Fredericktown; a brother: Steven C. (Pat) Siracusa of Herculaneum; 12 grandchildren: Madelyn, Logan, Karter, Zoey, Nash, Brinkley, Laiken, Kylie, Kaydence, Michelle, Charlie and Ronnie; and a life-long friend who was like a brother: Greg (Janetta) McCreary of Festus.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Patricia K. (Kurt survives of Bend, Ore.) Breeze.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. until services at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A private burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Elks National Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
