John Francis Timmerman, 60, of Arnold died June 12, 2024, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Timmerman worked as a machinist and was a caregiver to his elderly mother. He served in the U.S. Navy. He also was a Catholic. He enjoyed art, cooking and photography and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He was an avid conservationist and enjoyed being in nature and fishing. Born June 27, 1963, in St. Louis, he was the son of Evelyn Timmerman of Arnold and the late Edwin Timmerman.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four siblings: Mary (James) Wargel of Manchester, Susan (James) Altman of Camdenton, Alan (Pam) Timmerman of Pacific and Paul (Nancy) Timmerman of Hillsboro; six nieces: Christina Beary, Andrea Demster, Jenny Weusthoff, Suzanne Williams, Heather Bannon and Hillary Timmerman; three nephews: Kevin Altman, Justin Timmerman and Kyle Timmerman; an aunt: Wally Rains; and many other family members and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Church Road, in Arnold. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
