John D. Schaefer, 76, of Imperial died Sept. 25, 2025. Mr. Schaefer was a member of Community Bible Church in Pevely. He was born April 29, 1949.
He is survived by his wife: Linda J. (Scott) Schaefer; four children: Kimberly (The late Kevin) Torgerson, Dawn (John) Herminghaus, Bradley (Mari) Schaefer and Austin Mahan; six grandchildren: Zach, Cody, Brenden, Ethan, Aneesa and Celia; a great-grandchild: Kohana; three siblings: Mark, Steven and Denise; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America or Turning Point USA. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
