Jennifer Botkin, 50, of Barnhart died May 16, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Botkin was a teacher. She enjoyed experiences over worldly things, practicing her faith and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her determination and inner strength. Born Aug. 17, 1975, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Richard Spilker of Lake St. Louis and the late Elizabeth (Cook) Spilker.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 22 years: Michael Botkin of Barnhart; a child: Joel Botkin; two siblings: Katherine (Dan) Staples of St. Charles and Andrew (Taylor) Spilker of Highland, Ill.; her parents-in-law: Sharon (Debro) and Gary Botkin of Fenton; a sister-in-law: Melinda Botkin of St. Charles; and six nieces and nephews: Tyler Grygiel, Logan Grygiel, Henry Staples, Chase Spilker, Jaclynn Spilker and Maverick Spilker.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at New Hope Methodist Church, 3921 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold, officiated by Pastor Michelle Shoger. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Diabetes Association.
