James David Stephens, 67, of Perryville died Jan. 8, 2025, at the Estates of Perryville. Mr. Stephens grew up Pentecostal. He was a 1976 graduate of Fox High School. He loved to go on walks and take long drives with his dad. He also loved playing baseball and swimming. He worked in a gas station, then worked in a muffler shop and did work delivering auto parts. He later worked in a machine shop. Born July 5, 1957, in Exeter, Calif., he was the son of the late Clifford and Patsy Stephens.
He is survived by two brothers: Tim Stephens of Arnold and Dan (Katherine) Stephens of Rockhill; a half-sister: Brenda Derden of southern Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel, 911 West Drew Ave., in Monette, Ark., officiated by the Rev. Eugene Merrill. Burial will be in Macey Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home Chapel.
