Howard Dale Owens, 48, of De Soto died April 19, 2024. Mr. Owens worked as a project manager for Equipment Pro in Ste. Genevieve. Born July 14, 1975, in Great Bend, Kan., he was the son of Robert Leon Owens of Bel Aire, Kan., and the late Christine Lee (Chatfield) Owens.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 29 years: Jennifer (Merz) Owens of De Soto; five children: Ethan (Kathryn) Owens of De Soto, Morganne (Christopher) Plunkett of Ballwin, Madison (Ken Pogue) Owens of De Soto, Lydia Owens of De Soto and Gwendolyn Owens of De Soto; two sisters: Jatandra Birney of Bel Aire, Kan., and Miranda Carmona of Topeka, Kan.; and two grandchildren: Charlotte and Theodore; and three more grandchildren on the way.
A memorial gathering is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
