Henry Myrl Martin Sr., 88, of Arnold died Sept. 12, 2024, at Fieser Nursing Center in Fenton. Mr. Martin was a member of First Baptist Church of Arnold, was a proud member of the United Auto Workers Union and had worked for General Motors for more than 30 years. Born April 17, 1936, in Lemay, he was the son of the late Anna (Tobyn) and John Martin.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Dorothy Martin of Arnold whom he married on April 26, 1975; four daughters: Virginia Knowles of Panama City, Fla., Lorraine Horn, Tina Moody of Clyde, N.C., and Tammy Turner of Springfield; a brother: James Martin of Ste. Genevieve; a sister: Mildred Hatcher of Victoria; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son: Henry Martin Jr.; two sisters: Elizabeth Kelly and Mary Drury; and a brother: John Martin.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Concord Cemetery in Bloomsdale. Arrangements are under the direction of Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.
