Harold Clarence Leicht, 88, of House Springs died Aug. 18, 2025, at Marymount Manor in Eureka. Mr. Leicht was a 1954 Herculaneum High School graduate. He worked part time for Stahl Heating while he was in high school. He was employed by Westinghouse Apparatus Repair until he was drafted. He served in the Army Signal Corp until he was discharged in 1962 and went back to work at Westinghouse Apparatus until Eastern Electric bought Westinghouse in 1985. He worked for Eastern Electric until its closing in 1995. In the following years, he worked at Lighting & Power Electric, Prime Design and Lee Mechanical. He retired in 2002 and spent the remainder of his years enjoying “life on the farm.” Born Nov. 18, 1936, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Albert and Marie (Wolfangle) Leicht.
He is survived by his wife: Alice (Lay, Miller) of House Springs; two stepchildren: Michelle (Robert) McClelland of Hillsboro and Tricia (Robert) Seay of Imperial; and four grandchildren: Matthew Seay of Imperial, Zachary, Morgan and Kaylee McClelland of Hillsboro and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sibling: Elvera Stahl.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a service at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at First Baptist Church of House Springs, 4375 Gravois Road. No graveside service will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
