Guss “Richard” Hutson, 81, of Arnold, died Dec. 11, 2024, at his home. Mr. Hutson was a retired laborer for Teamsters Local 110. He was a U.S. Army veteran and Catholic. Born May 29, 1943, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Lorraine "Sue" (Turnbough) Hutson Diveley and Guss Hutson. He was the stepson of the late Virgil Diveley.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years: Joy (Chua) Hutson of Arnold; a child: Richard (Angie) Hutson; a stepdaughter: Ma Lou Chua (Justin) Thompson; a grandchild: Cade Hutson, two step-grandchildren: Denn Chua and Aubree Thompson; three siblings: Joyce (Bud) Latham, Brenda (Randy) Martin and Tammy (Mike) Schuble; three sisters-in-law: Mary, Lisa and Barb; many nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Betty (Hutson) Killian; three brothers: Larry Hutson, Gary Hutson and Kevin Hutson; and a nephew: Chuck Killian.
A graveside service with full military honors was held in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements were under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel in St. Louis County.
