Grace M. Sutton Manley, 84, of Rio Linda, Calif., died April 17, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Manley was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a Job’s Daughter, a Girl Scout and a Girl Scout leader. She loved the outdoors and camped with her husband and children when they were young. Proud of where she was from, she considered herself a Missourian although she moved from there several decades ago. She loved good food and ribs, meatloaf, burgers, tomato soup with grilled cheese and cake were favorites. She loved animals, especially her Chihuahua, Dolly, who died a few years ago. She was proud of her photo wall in her living room and talked about each person with love and admiration. Born July 31, 1941, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late George Albert Sr. and Helen Bessie (Hampton) Sutton.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Manley.
She is survived by a son: David (Sherry) Manley; two grandchildren: Jake and Desiree; two siblings: Donald Manley of Victoria, Texas, and John (Lurea) Manley of Bonne Terre; her great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Donna Manley; seven brothers: Charles, George Jr., Kenneth, Joe, Clifford, Daniel and Jimmy; and two sisters: Alice Jean and Charlene.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto, officiated by Brother Bob Thebeau. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
