Gloria Joy Robinson, 90, of Festus died April 19, 2025, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Center in Crystal City. Mrs. Robinson was a retired supervisor and case worker for the Jefferson County branch of the Missouri Division of Family Services in Hillsboro. She loved RV trips with her husband, dinners and parties with family and friends, sewing and solving puzzles. Born Jan. 22, 1935, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Wanda Ada (Elliott) Eppler and the late Elmer E. “Bud” Williams.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Joseph Henry Robinson; a daughter: Dana R. (Raymond) Noll of Festus; a son: William E. “Bill” Shawgo of Festus; a stepson: Gary (Karen) Robinson of Festus; a grandson: Alan W. (fiancee Mackenzie Jones) Shawgo; a step-granddaughter: Amy (Stephen) Westbrook; and a niece: Kathy (Dan) Hoehn of West Point, Miss.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Jo Lintzenich; and a brother-in-law: Jim (the late Shirley) Robinson.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Justin Metiva of Good News Community Church of Festus. Burial will be in Hematite Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
