
Glen Harold Youngblood Sr., 65, of De Soto died March 31, 2024, in St. Louis. Mr. Youngblood was a signal electrician for the Missouri Department of Transportation. He also worked as a fuel truck delivery driver and an HVAC technician with the De Soto School District. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in De Soto and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in De Soto. He enjoyed going to church, playing the drums, being a jokester and spending time with his family and friends. Born Oct. 16, 1958, in Crystal City, he was the son of Dorine (Lampman) Youngblood of Virginia Beach, Va., and the late Norman Youngblood.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Mary Elizabeth (Schwab) Youngblood; six children: Kari (Bill) Reissing of De Soto, Glen Youngblood Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Kristin (Corey) Casey of St. Peters, Brandy (Jeff) Goodman of Olathe, Kan., Brandon Price of De Soto and Loni Beth Price of De Soto; a brother: Donald (Vanessa) Youngblood of Festus; and a sister: Marian Davis of Virginia Beach, Va.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Randy Youngblood.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 -8 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at First Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Waymaker Project c/o The Timothy Bradford House Foundation or the De Soto Public School System. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
