Garry W. Baker, 64, of De Soto died Aug. 26, 2024, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Baker was an inspector at Union Pacific Railroad. Born April 22, 1960, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Walter and Helen (Thost) Baker.
He is survived by his wife: Lynda (Reando) Baker of De Soto; two children: Heather (David) Missey and Ryan (Lindsey) Baker, both of De Soto; two grandchildren: Corey Ryan Phelps and Colton Robert Missey; six siblings: Richard “Dick” Courtois, Judie Trask, Betty Sampson, Barbara Baker, Mary DeClue and Terry Baker, all of De Soto; and a dog: Comet.
He was preceded in death by one sister: Janet Hess.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Chris Black. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
