Gail Sue Manning, 58, of De Soto died Jan. 25, 2025, in Festus. Mrs. Manning participated in the Girls Scouts, Meramec Heights 4 H Club, American Quarter Horse Association and Big River Saddle Club in Grubville. She loved arts and crafts, traveling, camping, fishing, cooking, showing horses, and, most importantly, spending time with her friends and family. Born May 1, 1966, in Kirkwood, she was the daughter of the late Clarence M. Geitz and Bernadine D. (Fusch) Geitz.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years: Ronald C. Manning of De Soto; two daughters: Amanda S. (Ryan Reed) Manning of Festus and Emily G. (Ian McCreary) Manning of Festus; a sister: Dianne P. Geitz of Cedar Hill; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Jessica L. Midgett.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Mahn Funeral Home De Soto Chapel. 900 N. Main St. An additional visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Mike Rose. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
