Gabriela Diedre (Ross) Mangan, 60, of House Springs died Sept. 18, 2026, in Fenton after a battle with dementia and pancreatic cancer. A graduate of Hillsboro High class of 1984, Jefferson College and UMSL, Mrs. Mangan worked as an aerosol chemist until retirement. Her interests included paleontology, astronomy, her love of sci-fi, listening to her favorite music, camping, float trips and spending time with family and friends. She's been described by her coworkers as a bright light and will be remembered for her kindness and love of family and friends. Born June 28, 1966, in El Paso, Texas, at Fort Bliss Army base, she was the daughter of the late Maria (Gomez) Ross and Robert Ross.
She is survived by her husband: Daniel Mangan; her children: Carolina Mangan and William Larson, Rebecca Mangan, Lianna Mangan and Clarissa Platter and Vincent Mangan; two grandchildren: Gabriel and Melody Larson; two siblings: Marian Ross and William Ross; and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: Christopher Daniel Mangan.
A celebration of life is scheduled from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Arnold VFW, 2301 Church Road, in Arnold. Casual dress code; jeans acceptable. Potluck-sides and desserts are appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
