Frank Watz Jr., 88, of Festus died Jan. 11, 2026, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in De Soto. Mr. Watz worked in construction and was a member of Ironworkers Local 396 in St. Louis. He lived in Missouri, then Florida, and returned to Missouri to be near his children and live out the remainder of his life. His talents and hobbies included home building and home improvements, building furniture and working on classic cars and trucks. He will be remembered as a good man who loved to work, make furniture and take care of his family. Born July 10, 1937, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Frank and Evelyn Watz.
He was preceded in death by his wives: Joyce Daniels and Roberta Willey.
He is survived by five children: Katherine (John) Maham, Angelia Walz, Mitchell (Brenda) Watz, Patrick (Sandy) Watz and Terrie (Dan) Walker; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a brother: Russell; and a sister: Nadine Vischjon.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
