
Francis Douglas Greenlee, 84, of Herculaneum died April 12, 2025, at his home. Mr. Greenlee served in the U.S. Navy, was a retired carpenter and a member of Parkton Assembly of God Church in Barnhart. He was a skilled craftsman who loved woodworking. He also was an avid golfer and enjoyed being outdoors, mowing lawns and doing yard work. Born Feb. 28, 1941, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Myrtle Christine (Cash) and William Francis Greenlee.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Becky Gean (Lee) Greenlee; a daughter: Christine (Douglas) Cofer of Bloomsdale; a grandson: Kirkland Lee Douglas Cofer; a sister: Brenda (Art) Vaughn of Hillsboro; three nephews; and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Emmett “Ray” (Joyce survives of Festus) Greenlee.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until funeral services at noon Tuesday, April 22, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, officiated by Pastor Monty Roark of Parkton Assembly of God. Burial with full military honors will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
