Frances M. Klie, 89, of Hillsboro died July 2, 2026. Ms. Klie worked as a secretary. Born Jan. 17, 1937, in Dayton, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Lula Mae (Stone) Macon and James Lee Macon.
She is survived by two children: Tammie (Jerry) Riddle of Hillsboro and Sheri (Tim) May of Bonne Terre; five grandchildren: Julianne (Tye Edwards) Christopher, Olivia (Jordan) Wallen, Michelle (Jonathan) Krah, Lucian May and Luke (Tori) May; eight great-grandchildren: Haisley, Hudson, Hadley and Henry Wallen, Ryker and Lane May and Oliver and Myles Krah; and a close friend: Carol Braun.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Marion (Mildred) Macon and Robert (Bonnie survives) Macon; a nephew: Ken (Mitzi survives) Macon; her daughters’ father: Kermit Klie Jr.; and her companion of 12 years: Ed Preusser.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Visitation will resume from 1:30 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the funeral home, officiated by Chaplain Robb Elders. Interment will be in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery in Hillsboro.
