Floyd Joseph White Jr., 77, of Festus died Sept. 29, 2024, at his home. Mr. White served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart. Born Sept. 29, 1947, in Festus, he was the son of the late Cora “Laverne” (Bannister) and Floyd Joseph White Sr.
He is survived by a brother: Charles White of Festus; four stepchildren; and a niece: Crystal White of Vernon, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a son: Floyd Joseph White III; three sisters: Denita Daniels, Joyce Watz and Anna Hahn; and a brother: William Ray Daniels.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Tim Roberts of Farmington. Burial will follow in Herculaneum Cemetery. Memorials may be made to any disabled veterans organization. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
