Eric Joseph Lawrence, 64, of Martinez, Ga., formerly of Cedar Hill, died May 8, 2024, in Greenville, Ala. Born October 4, 1959, in Perryville, Mr. Lawrence was the son of the late Ruth L. (Thurstin) and Vernon A. Lawrence.
He is survived by seven brothers: Paul (Yolanda) Lawrence of De Soto, William D. "Dave" (Lisa) Lawrence of Minnith, Stephen (Terri) Lawrence of O'Fallon, Patrick Lawrence of Union, Timothy Lawrence of High Ridge, Gary (Barb) Lawrence of St. Mary and Terry (Dana) Lawrence of Barnhart; three sisters: Sherry Stehr of Cedar Hill, Donna Stevens of Springfield, Ill., and Christine Matthes of Cedar Hill; 26 nieces and nephews; 29 great-nieces and nephews; a great-great-nephew; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Michael Lawrence.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, June 3, at Vandover Baptist Church, 1714 Smizer Station Road, in Fenton. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
