Brown, Emily

Emily “Jean” Brown, 81, of High Ridge died March 29, 2025. Mrs. Brown enjoyed sharing stories of her hometown, Elvis Presley, flea markets, holidays, animals and spending time with family and friends. Born May 26, 1943, in Front Royal, Va., she was the daughter of the late Dorothy and James Graham.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Brown.

She is survived by two children: Donald Counts and Nancy Cash (Mike) Wille; three siblings: Charlie Graham, Betty Powers and Marie (Doug) Fritts; six grandchildren: Christopher (Julia) Wille, Shana (Jeff) Langston, Emily Counts, Kevin Wille, Kimberly (Rick) Wille and Chloe Counts; seven great-grandchildren: Ashton Langston, Brodie Wille, Graceland Webb, Emma Webb, Zoey Wille, Stella Wille and Jefferson Langston; two nephews: David Powers Corwin and John Graham; a son-in-law: John Wille; four loyal companions: Miss Mommy, Teeny Tiny, Aleah and Tom P; the Brogan and Brown families; and many other family members and friends.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Rhonda Cash; and many other family members, friends and pets.

A celebration of life is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A gathering will follow at the Cedar Hill Elks Lodge. Memorials may be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary, 6065 Duda Rd., House Springs, 63051. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
