Ellen Louise (Meyer) Fox, 73, of St. Louis died May 13, 2024. Mrs. Fox worked as a social worker after her studies at Southeast Missouri State and the University of Missouri St. Louis where she earned a bachelor’s degree. She loved the smell of freshly baked goods, bike rides and the laughter and stories shared with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her resilient and graceful spirit. Born Aug. 28, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Irma Meyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Fox.
She is survived by two sons: Benjamin and Paul; eight siblings; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Brian.
A memorial Mass is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Friday, May 31, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 4980 Heege Road, St. Louis. A committal service will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home South City Chapel.
