
Elizabeth “Theresa” Perry, 85, of Crystal City died Sept. 12, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Perry was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Festus-Crystal City. After retiring from managing Quonset Lanes in Crystal City, she worked for Wee Care Learning Center in Festus. She enjoyed crocheting prayer shawls, attending Bible study, volunteering at food pantries and serving at her church. She loved traveling, playing golf, spending time with family and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Born July 20, 1940, in Monon, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Alberta Helen (Vogel) and William Henry McCormick.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Roy “Dean” Perry.
She is survived by three daughters: Peggy (Robert) Gift of Fredericksburg, Va., Kathy (Tony) Bova of Crystal City and Nancy (Ronald) Spoth of Festus; a son-in-law: Denny Rogers of Branson; three sisters: Anetta (Don) Fairchild of LaBelle, Fla., Ethel (the late Michael) Kelleher of Burnsville, Minn., and Delores (Tom) Warner of Oswego, Ill.; two brothers: Bill (Arlene) McCormick of Edmonds, Wash., and Mike (Donna) McCormick of Buffalo, Ind.; nine grandchildren: Jennifer Garnatz, Robbie (Jennie) Gift, Stacie (Mike) Adel, Carrie (Jason) Pritchard, Chris (Erin) Bova, Matt (Andrea) Bova, Ryan (Jeanne) Cautrell, Amy (Zack) Knackstedt and Ronald (Wendi) Spoth Jr.; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Betty Rogers; a grandson: Douglas Winkler; a sister: Carol LaPacek; and a brother: Richard McCormick.
A memorial gathering will be from 10 a.m. until a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct.11, at First United Methodist Church of Festus-Crystal City, 113 Grand Ave., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Jeff Carr. Memorials may be made to Pedal the Cause or Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
