Edward Leo Grimm, 90, of Imperial died Oct. 19, 2023, at Crystal Oaks Care Center in Festus. Mr. Grimm was the owner of Grimm Plumbing. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard. He was a member of the Pastime Club of Imperial, Amvets Post 42 in Herculaneum, the Arnold Elks and Rock Memorial American Legion Post 283. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf. Born Feb. 28, 1933, in Kimmswick, he was the son of the late Anne (Koutney) and Edward Joseph Grimm.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Jane (White) Grimm of Imperial; six children: Edward E. (Tonia) Grimm of Imperial, Sarah (the late David) Briggs of Cadet, Debra (the late Virgil) Franklin of St. Louis, Bonnie (Rick) Austin of Dittmer, Connie Shreves of St. Peters and Janet Ingram of Virginia; one stepchild: Dale (Cindy) Ware of Potosi; five siblings: Anna (Glen) Mraz of Imperial, Lorraine (Howard) Becker of Arnold, Tom Grimm of Oregon, Jim (the late Brenda) Grimm of Cadet and Bill (Diane) Grimm of Arnold; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepchild: Dean Ware; and two grandchildren: Robbie and Ashley.
A memorial service is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6020 Old Antonia Road, in Imperial, officiated by Father Daniel Shaughnessy. Burial will take place in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
