Rulo, Edward

Edward L. Rulo, 83, of De Soto died Jan. 7, 2026, at his home. Mr. Rulo worked as a maintenance mechanic for MDS. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, flying model airplanes, excavating and gold mining. Born Aug. 4, 1942, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Joseph Rulo and Nora (Pratt) Rulo.

He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth A. Rulo of De Soto; three sons: Edward (Kimberly) Rulo Jr. of De Soto, Scott Rulo of Fletcher and Brian Rulo of Cedar Hill; a sister: Margaret Kuntz of Imperial; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son: Richard Rulo; two brothers: John Rulo and Leo Rulo; and six sisters: Marsela Sowells, Estel Grasle, Virginia Carroll, Marydelle Topp, Dolly Roberts and Betty Jo Weber.

A funeral Mass was held Jan. 12 at St. John the Beloved Disciple in Imperial, officiated by Father Donald Morris. Interment followed in the St. John Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
