Dorothy Marie Stebleton, 69, of Bismarck died Nov. 13, 2024, at Delmar Gardens South in St. Louis. Mrs. Stebleton will be remembered for her dedication to helping others as a registered nurse. After earning her associate degree of applied science in nursing at Jefferson College in 1985, she worked at Mercy Hospital Jefferson for a decade. After moving to Indiana, she worked at Wishard Memorial Hospital as a trauma nurse for more than 20 years. In addition to nursing, she earned her commercial driver’s license, working as a professional truck driver with her husband. She was an ordained ministerial member of the People Full Gospel Church in Indiana. She also was involved in various ministries, including music, prison and biker ministries. She loved being creative and enjoyed artwork and music. She was known for her adventurous, loving, thoughtful and kind presence. Born Feb. 23, 1955, in Ironton, she was the daughter of the late Charles Tilley and E. Irene (Morris) Tilley.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Steven Lee Stebleton.
She is survived by four siblings: S. Patricia (Randall) Radford, Marcia (Robert) Politte, Thomas Tilley and Lisa (Michael) Matzker; two half-siblings: Charles (Deanna) Tilley and Michael Tilley; several nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
A family-held memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 11433 Olde Cabin Road, Ste. 100, St. Louis, 63141. Arrangements are under the direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory in Farmington.
